Infrared Sherbrooke Forest Path presents a quiet and immersive interpretation of a familiar forest scene transformed through infrared photography. Captured within Sherbrooke Forest in Victoria’s Dandenong Ranges, the image reveals a winding path framed by tall eucalyptus trees and dense undergrowth, rendered in soft, luminous tones that shift away from natural greens toward gentle hues of rose, peach, and ivory. The result is a landscape that feels both grounded and otherworldly.

The path leads the viewer inward through layered vegetation, establishing depth and a strong sense of direction. Fine details such as fern fronds, grasses, and textured bark glow subtly under the infrared capture, while filtered light passing through the canopy adds softness and tonal variation. The altered colour palette does not obscure the structure of the forest but instead reveals hidden contrasts and patterns that remain invisible to the naked eye.

Photographed by Australian landscape photographer Graham Drew, Infrared Sherbrooke Forest Path reflects a considered exploration of alternative photographic processes rather than a departure from place. Sherbrooke Forest is widely known for its mountain ash trees and enclosed walking tracks, and this image preserves that recognisable structure while offering a new visual experience. The infrared technique reveals a parallel interpretation of the landscape, one that feels calm, dreamlike, and contemplative.

As wall art, Infrared Sherbrooke Forest Path integrates naturally into interiors that value subtle colour, atmosphere, and visual depth. Its soft tonal range suits living areas, bedrooms, studios, offices, and gallery spaces where a sense of quiet discovery is appreciated. The image offers visual interest without intensity, supporting long-term display and reflection.
