Infrared Mountain Ash Print

There is something magical about standing beneath towering mountain ash trees, and the Infrared Mountain Ash Print captures that feeling in a completely new way. In this artwork, the tall trunks rise like pillars through the forest canopy while the surrounding foliage glows gently with the dreamlike tones created by infrared light. This technique transforms the landscape into something soft, atmospheric, and quietly enchanting, revealing details and textures that you wouldn’t see with the naked eye.

Infrared photography allows light to interact with the environment differently, and the result is an artwork that feels both familiar and otherworldly. Throughout the Infrared Mountain Ash Print, the trees appear almost luminous, while the forest floor recedes into gentle, surreal tones. This creates a calm, contemplative mood—the sort of image that invites you to pause for a moment and simply take in the beauty of the scene.

Every piece in this collection is produced here in Australia with an emphasis on fine detail and long-lasting quality. If you prefer to choose your own frame, the Print Only option is printed on Ilford Gold Fibre Gloss, a museum-grade paper used by galleries worldwide. This stock enhances the delicate tones of the infrared image and gives the artwork impressive clarity and depth. Your print arrives carefully packaged and ready for framing.

For those who want artwork that arrives ready to display, the Infrared Mountain Ash Print is also available as a handcrafted stretched canvas. Each canvas is created using genuine Epson Ultrachrome archival pigment inks, giving the piece vibrant, lasting tones. After printing, the canvas is coated with a protective UV spray to guard against fading and then stretched over sturdy kiln-dried timber. It arrives fully wired and ready to hang straight on your wall.

This piece works beautifully in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, or office spaces—anywhere you want to add a sense of calm, nature, and subtle drama. The Infrared Mountain Ash Print is a wonderful way to bring the spirit of the Australian forest indoors while showcasing a unique artistic style that feels timeless and modern at once.

If you love atmospheric forest art or want something a little different from traditional nature photography, this print makes a striking and memorable addition to your collection.
