False Colour Infrared Landscape Print

False Colour Infrared Landscape Print

False Colour Infrared Landscape Print capturing a transformed wetland scene where familiar terrain is rendered in expressive, otherworldly tones through infrared photography. Created using an IR Chrome infrared filter, this image interprets the natural environment beyond visible colour, revealing textures, contrasts, and relationships that are normally unseen.

A narrow walking path runs through tall grasses in the foreground, drawing the eye forward into the frame. In infrared, the vegetation shifts into deep red and copper hues, creating a striking contrast against the cooler tones of water and sky. The grasses appear almost luminous, flowing inward from both sides and reinforcing a strong sense of movement and direction. Above, a heavy, overcast sky adds atmosphere and weight, balancing the warmth of the landscape below with a sense of quiet tension.

This false colour infrared landscape print is less about documenting a specific place and more about interpretation. Infrared photography alters how foliage reflects light, transforming ordinary vegetation into bold, expressive forms. The result is a scene that feels familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time — grounded in nature, but visually abstracted. The image encourages a slower, more contemplative viewing experience, where texture, tone, and composition take precedence over literal colour accuracy.

As a feature piece, this artwork works beautifully in interiors that favour mood, depth, and visual interest. It suits contemporary spaces, creative studios, offices, and modern homes where distinctive artwork is used to create atmosphere rather than decoration alone. The strong central path gives the image presence and structure, while the infrared colour palette adds a unique visual identity that stands apart from traditional landscape photography.

False Colour Infrared Landscape Print – Canvas and Print Options

This false colour infrared landscape print is available as both a canvas print and a print-only option, allowing flexibility in how the artwork is presented.

Canvas prints offer a warm, tactile finish that enhances the immersive quality of the image. Each canvas is produced to the highest standard here in Australia using genuine Epson Ultrachrome archival pigment inks, ensuring excellent tonal depth, clarity, and long-term stability. Every piece is carefully hand-crafted, coated with a UV-protective spray to help guard against fading and surface wear, then stretched over a sturdy, kiln-dried timber frame. The artwork arrives professionally wired and ready to hang, with no additional framing required. Custom sizing can be arranged to suit specific spaces.

For a more traditional presentation, the print-only option is produced on Ilford Gold Fibre Gloss, a premium fine art paper used by professional photographers and galleries worldwide. This paper offers a subtle gloss finish with rich blacks and refined detail, allowing the infrared tones and textures to remain crisp and expressive. Prints are carefully packaged and delivered ready for framing.

Whether selected as canvas or print-only, this false colour infrared landscape print is produced using museum-quality materials, making it a distinctive and lasting addition to any fine art collection.
